Hey, what are your camera setting or exporting for keeping the size 1080P, Ive used the camera and exported but it comes out as 720? Any tips or advice ?

Nah I can't even lie the fx30 is still usable up to 6400 seen multiple tests showing it. Cause the noise can easily be removed up to tht point. And the in-between isos are clean as hell too. I've I shot a film on it and even sticking to the base iso of 2500 in super low light, with a 1.4 lens I was shocked how good the image was. Bit of clean up and it was amazing. Will say I think sony added better noise reduction overall in the fx30. But also the 6k to 4k downscaled image I think helps create more of a grain to the noise

I use custom LUTS in PPLUT slots on the FX30. You get all the dynamic range of Slog 3 without the headaches. No noise up to 3200 ISO or more. Even 100fps and 200fps are usable. Very easy to recover highlights and shawdows in post, lots of margins still

I’ve only had my FX30 for a couple of weeks and when trying out Cine EI in a low light situation, I agree the footage is not as clean. For me it’s not even close. I was like many others convincing and telling myself to shoot at either ISO 800 or 2500 and nothing else… I’m so glad I finally decided to “break the rules” and push my ISO to wherever it needed to be. The results have been night and day for me. Solid breakdown man.

Good stuff, as always. I rented the FX3 for a job and shot the entire night scene in HLG ISO 12800, and the footage was clean (this was just dumb luck, as I had never used the camera before, and it was set to HLG by the previous user). I have had my eye on the FX30 for a while, but I have never shot with it.

Absolutely agree. Using anything but a camcorder or action camera for full motion video never made sense to me and still doesn't. Yeah these mirrorless and DSLR can do that but you have to buy all this extra crap just to be effective with it. Waste of money when you don't need any of that with a camcorder which already has good zoom capabilities.

After 11 years on the market, this lens deserves a second version, I would like it to be 2.8, 18-120mm, with the sharpness of a 16-55 G, preserving the non-extendable motorized zoom, and the internal stabilization, with a Completely made of aluminum, adding a diaphragm ring, I think it would be the best-selling lens on Sony cameras for both photo and video.

7:17 since the 16th century, ALL CANON DSLR and MIRRORLESS CAMERAS ARE LIKE THAT. Once you hit REC, you’re stuck and prohibited to change almost any setting while recording, you can’t even adjust your manual Kelvin degrees. Only ISO, shutter, aperture and audio gain. That’s why I prefer Cinema cameras for video. It’s like that and Canon will NEVER change. I have the R3. Flagship camera. Still… same BS.

Would this camera be good for shooting music videos?

wishing I got the wx991 instead of the vx981. The viewfinder would be nice and the mic jack is located better. On my vx981 the mic jack is located beneath the screen so you can't close the screen all the way with the mic plugged in.

Kindly would that work without the battery in it?

I'm from Brazil and the price difference is HUGE. I can buy the Meike or R$300 while the Canon here is around R$1.200 . But I already own a Meike adapter for my M200 for 2 years and never had an issue, it's simply excellent. I own the lens Canon 50mm f1.8, Yongnuo 100mm f2 and Canon 75-300mm f4-5.6. Now going to a FullFrame, I almost bought the Viltrox for R$200 but I went for the Meike because of the experience I had and also for being weather proof, while other cheaper adapters are not.

He has tried only 960 fps and taking a pic with it but telling honestly the quality is not great. Here's a quick question, is the SanDisk extreme Pro sdxc uhs-I card u3 v30 4k uhd 256gb, speed up to200 mbs, write up to 140 mbs enough to support the camera? Thanks

s5 ii is a great camera! Now you can get it used with a lens for the price of the fx30! Love the S5ii! Great camera with all the features it is a great deal!

Allot of people don't know this, but inside Imovie there is a auto button that will fix 90% of your C-LOG color grading.

I just need a super good new camera, maybe the panasonic is the best cheapest option

Good coverage of the camera, I like it. On PROFESSIONAL USE, I actually made decent money using a Canon HF-R500 - yeah, that old! And right up until I moved far away from my primary location, it was making money... and even after! I am looking for a replacement for it, because they don't even make the HF-R800 anymore. The problem is that with the new technology, there are not enough NEW cameras being manufactured that I would want to use, that are affordable.
